Continentes à deriva

Acontece de algum conhecimento científico abstrato resolver se manifestar evidente e praticamente em nossa vida, como quando eu pensei que eu e ele, tendo nos afastado tanto nestes últimos anos, não mais nos poderíamos encontrar... Eis que aparece subitamente em frente a mim.... E então pensei comigo: “É, realmente, a Terra é redonda. Quando você pensa que está o mais distante possível, descobre que na verdade deu a volta toda, e encontra-se de novo no mesmo lugar.” A lei da gravitação universal... A lei da ação e reação...
Desta vez, foi a teoria da deriva dos continentes que resolveu se apresentar em minha vida. É fato que estão se afastando, lenta mas inexoravelmente...
